New Jersey Leads Nation With New Child Car Seat Law

Car crashes are the leading cause of death and injury for children under the age of 14, but no state required child car seat usage to include all of the safety recommendations stipulated by the American Academy of Pediatrics until now, according to AAA Northeast in New Jersey. The group called New Jersey’s new child safety seat law, which will take effect on Tuesday, September 1, the first of its kind in the nation.
