When you are dealing with a bladder problem not all of the conditions are the same. In fact, some of them require different medical treatments than others do. This is why it’s imperative for you to know which type of infection you are dealing with so you can treat it appropriately. The alteration may be weak bladder muscles or something like damaged nerves. You need to be sure to start helping yourself overcome your bladder problem.
Temporary incontinence is for the short term. This may be caused by an illness, such as a urinary tract infection. This will bring on sudden urges to go to the bathroom that you can’t control. This could also be the result of a side effect from a new medication you are on. This is probably one of the easier condition to treat, as once you identify the culprit for the incontinence you can simply remedy it and your problems controlling your bladder will go away.
Stress incontinence is where urine leaks out when you are doing activities like exercising, sneezing, laughing, and coughing. There is no correlation between mental stress and urine leakage just to clarify for everyone. The stress in these terms are those that put pressure on your bladder. This will be do to weak pelvic and sphincter muscles. You can do exercises to help build up the strength of these muscles to remedy the problem.
Urge Incontinence is where you suddenly get a strong urge to go to the bathroom. When you have this condition it is hard to reach the bathroom before your body let’s go. This can be caused by a nerve damage issue. These happen due to medical conditions, strokes, infections, and diabetes.
Mixed Incontinence is when some of these three mix together creating multiple causes to your overactive bladder. You will need to work hard to identify the multiple issues at play so that you can remedy them all to stop the overall bladder problem you are facing.
