Eyelash Inventions We Will Never Forget

Topping our list of eyelash inventions made over the last centuries comes the eyelash curler. Hitting the runway like crazy these became an inexpensive, stainless-steel essential item for women everywhere. Each package came with rubber replacements. Women at that time used blow dryers to heat the curlers, unlike now where you can get battery powered ones.

Here comes the waterproof mascara. Solving a simple problem that many women faced with their traditional eyelash products. First made for actresses by a Polish wigmaker, and then perfected into an inexpensive everyday item woman finally started including makeup as a daily ritual. The amazing part of this waterproof mascara was Revlon’s new twist that made a splash. Up until this point there was no spiral brush to roll-on the mascara. So Revlon decided to make one. This is a started that has been adopted by every mascara brand.

When 1961 rolls around Revlon pushes another industry leading idea, colored mascara. They produced dark green, indigo, and violet colors. When utilized with contrasting shades for their eyeliner and eye shadow women created new looks like me had never seen before as shown in these Idol Lash reviews. Maybelline shot back in 1971 with a new and improved water based formula. This limited the number of women who had irritations to using mascara products. So out with the solvent and in with the water.
